Grown from Community

In 2016, a dozen adults and a gaggle of kids moved to a piece of land in Sebastopol to build a center for regenerative living, cultural innovation and community resilience. Along the way we became Landwell…a 501c3 non-profit residential co-op, home to about 20 humans and countless frogs and birds.  Together we steward 22 acres in the Jonive Valley in West Sebastopol.  And while we love to have our hands in the dirt, we also love to make music!

Soundwell’s Mission is to amplify the messages of innovation, justice, joy and inclusion.  We need inspiring songs to keep us dancing and thought provoking podcasts to keep us learning.  Soundwell is here to capture the stories and share the songs.  Our goal is to build relationships through music and cultivate a community feeling in the studio.

Everyone who visits Soundwell comments on how peaceful it is and how there’s a “vibe” that’s hard to describe.  A far cry from big city studios, we take things a little slower and sweeter.  You might step outside to pick an apple, take a walk to the creek or join an impromptu soccer game on the lawn.  We invite you to Soundwell… let's create magic together.
